Paddle Out Fest

ina Fake/Southern Beacons/Rain on Fridays/Burnout Reef/Sean Jones/Serendipity/Katie M.

That’s a lot of music and I guess that’s why they are calling it a “fest”?!?! A festival of Punk Rock Spring/Summer good times!!!

Tina Fake played their very first live show ever here at Lhooq Books and they killed it. the band was passionate, driven, Loud, smart, a little crazy and tight as fuck! You really can’t ask for and get any more from a bands first time on stage. Plus, they packed the house! And it was all them! their friends & family came out in droves to support them and they did not disappoint! THESE GUYS ARE PRETTY YOUNG, BUT THEY PLAY WITH THE HEARTS AND ETHOS OF TRUE PUNK. Now they are coming back with a massive line up of friends and other bands they have met, connected with and collaborated with on the road and round town.

We are proud to present the rising stars of a scene that supposedly doesn’t exist. But try telling that to the hundreds that will be at Lhooq this coming Saturday 04/13/19!! We are starting early, 5pm to get everyone on the bill a full set! This also means we are going to do our best to present this like a local backyard/beach party with NO BBQ, but plenty of Beer, etc (please do not bring your own because whatever we provide you can get cheap and it will help serve the greater good…more funding for the nonprofit and the artists/performers.) Ultimately, all we ask is a minimum donation of $5, but we do think you can (and should) do more!?!?! Just check out this list of acts and they are all amazing!

You can donate/buy a $5 ticket here on our website http://www.;hooqxrealism.com/tickets in our shop prior to or day of, if not sold out by then, And if you really want to help support the bands and even our nonprofit you can donate more by clicking the donate block on the home page. All net profits go to the bands, and with this many bands we need a lot of donations to spread it around. Support the Cause and the Cause will support you!

The Exrealism Project Presents: His Apologies & Green Destiny “Sound & Vision” /kəˌlabəˈrāSH(ə)n/ With CraftLab

Wrapping up our special events for February. We have “Sound & Vision”.

The Sound: Co-headlining we have a beautiful solo performance,  “His Apologies” @hisapologies a veteran singer/songwriter who has volunteered to open with his heartfelt, often heartbreaking lyrics, mixed with a an almost necessary sardonic world view. yet all combined, we find his music to be painfully honest and ultimately life affirming.  beautiful solo performance.

Closing the night is an experimental instrumental, “Green Destiny” lead by Forrest, a young protégé of many genres. In this current project his band is experimenting with sound and exploring a hybrid of the often loud, crunch of sonic noise mixed with ambient drone, dripping with melodic tones, taking you on a journey, getting lost in space, then crashing & floating back to earth.

The Vision: Both performances will be layered with interactive Neo Wave multi-layered projection art. The audience can stand back and watch it all as a whole or come inside the light and interact with the art, light, sound & Vision. digital art projections by CraftLab.(@craftlabtomato)

Matt Hensley & Brittany McGregor w/ Special guests

Special show. Matt Hensley (of Floggying Molly) co headlines & Collaborates with Brittany McGregor, Singer of “The Sparrow”.
Matt will start off the show with a set of raw traditional Irish folk. Then he will transition over and Sit in with Brittany McGregor to play some Mid Century French Street music! Brit @wretchedmathilde @lasparrowsings is a talented LA based singer doing the set in a raunchy fluent French voice. The traditional Irish Folk music pouring from Matt’s accordion and the Tradition French Street music share a quality of finding a way to take our pain and lift our spirits in a uniquely meloncoly let out in joy. Both styles are romantic, sad drinking songs. Perfect for Valentines eve. Authentic, raw, genuinely beautiful renditions of the greatest Mid Century French singers....such as Edith Piaf, Jacques Brél, Charles Aznavour and more. Our show will be a combination of talent, rough street style, freedom of expression and creativity. Sung by Brittny Mcgragor, an extraordinarily gifted singer and Francophile, backed up by the likes of Matt Hensley on accordion, and more surprise guest musicians from LA.
Tickets are $8+ and drinks are available on a donation bases. Remember all net profits go to the artists and benefit our nonprofit.

$8+ tickets/donations at on our website, print receipt for priority/VIP access. Or try your chances at the door?!?
